Greetings from NYC!

WE are here for Coterie, North America's biggest tradeshow for retailers of contemporary and European women's fashion. There is a definite buzz in the air! Things are finally looking up for fashion again and everyone is excited!!

Vancouver is the most gorgeous city ever and HOME, but WE LOVE NYC! So much style is concentrated on the Island of Manhattan. And how great it is to find amazing food any time of the night? (Carey and I had dinner at 1am - check out the pictures I snapped from our hotel window!) Everything is so accessible, you can step out literally anywhere and flag a cab. Went to Blow, the NY blow-dry bar this morning, and now WE are ready to hit the shows!

BTW, the first stylish woman I saw this am was in Starbucks and she was wearing a Humanity tee just like the ones WE have in store now! How great is it that WE are on-trend with the New York woman?

I'm feeling comfy and stylish in my Bailey 44 go-to outfit. Navy drumstick pants and a striped Navy and chocolate "fixing a hole" top! Strapped on my chocolate brown Frye's and I'm ready to pick out all the great pieces WE are going to bring you this Spring '09!

Our buyers Tami and Debbie are on a buying trip in the Big Apple and are reporting back to us on what our savvy NY sisters are wearing and what we can expect to see for Fall 2009!

"On Saturday night we dropped into Uber Chic Ciprianis in Soho for a belini & authentic Italian food! The place was jammed and a seat for dinner was not even an option until 10:30; it was worth the wait just to see what all the beautiful people were wearing! All the fashionistas wore 6 inch heels! Definitely one of the biggest trends here as well as white denim and lots of luggage colored boho chic totes.

Sunday shopping in Soho and the of course we saw more patio dresses than ever….. Skinny jeans and deep V T-shirts are a must for the urban shopping diva! Florals are also taking over everywhere and color is King! Lots of coral, orange, yellow, & pink!

We start the heaving lifting tomorrow and will let you know what new and exciting fashion trends are emerging from fabulous New York!
