Greetings from NYC!

WE are here for Coterie, North America's biggest tradeshow for retailers of contemporary and European women's fashion. There is a definite buzz in the air! Things are finally looking up for fashion again and everyone is excited!!

Vancouver is the most gorgeous city ever and HOME, but WE LOVE NYC! So much style is concentrated on the Island of Manhattan. And how great it is to find amazing food any time of the night? (Carey and I had dinner at 1am - check out the pictures I snapped from our hotel window!) Everything is so accessible, you can step out literally anywhere and flag a cab. Went to Blow, the NY blow-dry bar this morning, and now WE are ready to hit the shows!

BTW, the first stylish woman I saw this am was in Starbucks and she was wearing a Humanity tee just like the ones WE have in store now! How great is it that WE are on-trend with the New York woman?

I'm feeling comfy and stylish in my Bailey 44 go-to outfit. Navy drumstick pants and a striped Navy and chocolate "fixing a hole" top! Strapped on my chocolate brown Frye's and I'm ready to pick out all the great pieces WE are going to bring you this Spring '09!

Our hot to trot buyers are having a great time strutting their stuff down the streets of NY and picking up style tips along the way...

"Well another day of NYC city style and I am sorry but I just can't stop talking about the 6 inch plus stilettos the girls are wearing! Everywhere..... with shorts, dresses and of course the trendy skinny jean. Second runner up for popular street style is of course the patio dress and fabulous flat. Lots of patent and metallic flip flop style & flats much like the Anne Klein and Cole Haan as seen in WEAR ELSE! Frye is emerging as a big label in the majors and on the streets, and the studded flat with ankle strap is very very much a trend. Big Bracelets & stacks of bangles are ruling the accessory scene!" says Tami

"Forecast for holiday 2009 so far looks like more ruffles, chiffon, sequins and very much item driven! Look for dresses of course! Lots of jersey and dresses that are more versatile than just for parties! We start working the shoes tomorrow and if the street style is any indicator of what to expect for footwear you can be sure we will be going on about the 6 inch stiletto yet again. "
